Regenerative Medicine

The principles of regenerative medicine, i.e. the use of technologies based on living cells to treat tissue and organ damage, represent a paradigm shift in modern medicine. A number of successes have been achieved in recent years (stem cell therapy, engineering of living (tissue) transplants), and it is expected that in the near future impaired tissues and organs can be treated by regenerative therapies.
The Network Regenerative Medicine has been successfully transitioned into the Institute of Regenerative Medicine, a technology platform at Wyss Zurich and the HMZ flagship project SKINTEGRITY.
